about a year now
i miss him. It's been a year now since his passing. I remember being at our March for Life - Pro-Life Walk last year and getting the news. i wish things were different. in 3 months i'll be walking down that aisle and i can't help thinking how I wish he was there for our big day.
tomorrow at the march for life, I'll walk and pray, not only in memory of countless unborn babies, but in celebration of a very beautiful person who's life ended too soon.
song of the moment.. breakable - ingrid michaelson
Have you ever thought about what protects our hearts?
Just a cage of rib bones and other various parts.
So it's fairly simple to cut right through the mess,
And to stop the muscle that makes us confess.
And we are so fragile,
And our cracking bones make noise,
And we are just,
Breakable, breakable, breakable girls and boys.
You fasten my seatbelt because it is the law.
In your two ton death trap I finally saw.
A piece of love in your face that bathed me in regret.
Then you drove me to places I'll never forget.
And we are so fragile,
And our cracking bones make noise,
And we are just,
Breakable, breakable, breakable girls and boys.
And we are so fragile,
And our cracking bones make noise,
And we are just,
Breakable, breakable, breakable girls-
Breakable, breakable, breakable girls-
Breakable, breakable, breakable girls and boys.

Lesson Learned
LOVE this song. LOVE Alicia Keys and John Mayer. =)
Lesson Learned - Alicia Keys and John Mayer
He broke my heart
and now it's raining
Just don't rub it in
I'm at your door
I feel so crazy bout' it
You say I told you so
You saw it long ago
You knew he had to go
I finally came around
I'm back on solid ground
Can't let it get me down
(2x)
It's alright
it's alright
It's alright
It's alright
Yes I was burned but I called it a lesson learned.
Mistake overturned so I called it a lesson learned.
My soul has returned so I call it a lesson learned.
Another lesson Learned
Sometimes some lies can
take a minute to fully realize
His tears your eyes
30 seconds to apoligize
You give him one more chance
just like the time before
but he already knows you'd give a hundred more
until that night in bed, you wake up in a sweat
Your racing to the door
Can't take it anymore
I was burned but I called it a lesson learned
Mistake overturned so i called it lesson learned.
My soul has returned so I call it a lesson learned.
Another lesson learned....
Life perfect, aint perfect if you don't know what the struggles for
Falling down aint falling down if you don't cry when you hit the floor
It's called the past 'cause im getting past
and i ain't nothing like I was before.
You ought to see me now.
Yes I was burned but I called it a lesson learned
Mistake overturned but i called it lesson learned.
My soul has returned so I call it a lesson learned.
Another lesson learned....

"Hosea's Wife" - Brooke Fraser
I just spoke silence with the seeker next to me
She had a heart with hesitant, halting speech
That turned to mine and asked belligerently
"What do I live for?"
I see the scars of searches everywhere I go
From hearts to wars to literature to radio
There's a question like a shame no one will show
"What do I live for?"
We are Hosea's wife
We are squandering this life
Using people like ladders and words like knives
[CHORUS]
If we've eyes to see
If we've ears to hear
To find it in our hearts and mouths
The Word that saves is near
Shed that shallow skin
Come and live again
Leave all you were before
To believe is to begin
There is truth in little corners of our lives
There are hints of it in songs and children's eyes
It's familiar, like an ancient lullaby
What do I live for?
We are Hosea's wife
We are squandering this life
Using bodies like money and truth like lies
We are more than dust
That means something
That means something
We are more than just
Blood and emotions
Inklings and notions
Atoms on oceansIf we've eyes to see
If we've ears to hear
To find it in our hearts and mouths
The word that saves is near
Shed that shallow skin
Come and live again
Leave all you were before
To believe is to begin

From the Inside Out/Evermore...I will praise Your name
From the Inside Out
A thousand times I've failed
Still Your mercy remains And should I stumble again
I'm caught in Your grace
Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame
Your will above all else
My purpose remains
The art of losing myself
In bringing You praise
Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame
In my heart and my soul
Lord I give You control
Consume me from the inside out
Lord let justice and praise
Become my embrace
To love you from the inside out
Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart
Is to bring You praise
From the inside out
Lord my soul cries outEvermore
Lost for words with all to say
Lord you take my breath away
Still my soul, my soul cries out
You are holy
And as I look upon Your name
Circumstances fade away
Now Your glory steals my heart
You are holy
You are holy
You are holy Lord
Evermore my heart, my heart will say
Above all, I live for Your glory
Even if my world falls I will say
Above all, I live for Your glory
With all my heart I'll say
I'm living for Your name
With all to give You praise
We're living for Your glory Lord
Evermore my heart, my heart will say
Above all, I live for Your glory
Even if my world falls I will say
Above all, I live for Your glory- Hillsong United

Do I See Him?
Happy Easter week everyone! I hope the Spirit of Easter continues to fill you with joy and peace!I spent Easter weekend by the beach celebrating with the CFC Jacksonville family, doing the traditional easter egg hunt (with the kiddos), grubbing on some good food, and playing beach volleyball. The only downer was the really bad weather. It was my second Easter away from home (hello cali i miss you), but all in all i had a really great time. All the back to back activites of the weekend finally slowed downed during the week, which was good because it gave me a moment to slow down and reflect, and it came down to "Do I see Him?"Some of the Easter week Gospel readings, show three instances in which Christ was not instantly recognized in the presence of His followers. First, is when He appeared to Mary Magdalene near the tomb, and she mistook him for a gardener (John 20:11-18). Second, is during the disciples walk to Emmaus when He walked among them as they talked about the events that had occured (Luke 24:13-35). And third, is when the Lord was standing by the shore and the disciples caught an abundance of fish (John 21:1-14). In all three, the disciples did not readily recognize Christ even though He was among them.Like the early disciples, i know it is easy to get caught up in the moment of things that distract our attention from the Lord. Sometimes we lose sight of Christ when we busy our hearts and minds with other things rather than continually focusing on Him and prevent ourselves from identifying Christ when He is in our midst. If we seek Christ in everything that we do, we will easily recognize His voice and when He makes Himself known to us. We must seek to be intune with the ways in which the Lord will reveal Himself in our present situations, and sensitive to the ways in which He will speak to us. "Were not our hearts burning within us while he spoke to us.."(Luke 24:32) That our hearts and minds will be constantly centered in Christ in our everyday interactions, in our service, work, and day to day tasks that we may readily see our Lord and come into His presence.
